European red mite (ERM), Panonychus ulmi (Koch) is one of the most important pests in apple orchards in Iran. High population of ERM causes a lot of damage to plant and using of acaricide is inevitable for control of the pest. In order to control this pest new acaricide Kanemite® 15% SC with acequinocyl active ingredient was evaluated in apple orchards in West Azarbaijan, East Azarbaijan and Khorasan-e Razavi provinces in 2017. Field experiment was carried out in a randomized complete block design with five treatments in three replications. Treatments included Kanemite (acequinocyl SC 15%) 1.25 ml / L and 1 ml / L, Envidor (spirodiclofen SC 24%) 0.5 ml / L, Pride (fenazaquin SC 20%) 0.5 ml / L and control (only water). The experiment was conducted when at least 3 mites per leaves were observed in 30% of sampled leaves. Sampling of each treatment was done at one day before and 3, 7, 14 and 21 days after spraying. Mean mortality of the treatments was calculated using Henderson-Tilton formula and analysis of variance was done with SAS software. Mean comparison of treatments with Duncan test was done. Results of the experiment in West Azerbaijan province showed that there was a significant difference between treatments up to 7 days after application. Mean comparison of the treatments showed that the most effective treatment against ERM was Kanemite in all days. In East Azarbaijan, the effect of Kanemite was similar to Envidor and it was efficient in controlling ERM. However, except for 21st day after spraying, in 3, 7 and 14 days after spraying, there was no significant difference between the above mentioned treatments. Ultimately, the results of experiment in Khorasan-e Razavi province indicated that Kanemite during 3, 7, 14 and 21 days after spraying had an acceptable level of control. In total, the results of the experiment in three regions can be concluded that the Kanemite 1.25 ml / L can be recommended for controlling the pest.
