چکیده
Tomato leaf miner, Tuta absoluta is one of the most important pests of tomato. The effects of Nesidiocoris tenuis and Bacillus thuringiensis (Beltirol® and Biolep® commercial products) were evaluated for control of T. absoluta under laboratory and greenhouse conditions. In laboratory, the efficiency of predator and efficacy of Beltirol® were determined by non-selective predation on eggs and larvae of the pest, respectively. Greenhouse assessment was done with three treatments including release of N. tenuis, spraying of plants with Beltirol® and combination of N. tenuis release and spraying with Beltirol®. The results showed that female and male adults of N. tenuis fed on 77.50 ± 4.83 and 61.44 ± 5.09 T. absoluta eggs, respectively. Formulations of Biolep® and Beltirol® had 33 ± 4.89 and 69.5 ± 7.83 mortality percentages on larvae, respectively. In greenhouse conditions, N. tenuis fed on 14.16 ± 2.24 eggs. Furthermore, Beltirol® resulted in 26 ± 5.47% mortality. The application of N. tenuis and Beltirol® caused 38.5 ± 5.68% of casualties. Therefore, application of two biological agents could effectively control the population of pest
