چکیده
Spatial distribution of barley aphids was studied to prepare sequential sampling models for sampling and monitoring aphids in barley fields of Kermanshah, Lorestan and Isfahan provinces, Iran. For this purpose, regular weekly sampling was started from the beginning of the crop season and continued until harvesting. In each sampling date, 100 tillers were randomly visited in 10 parallel rows at intervals of 10 meters from each other and aphids were transferred into tubes and taken to the laboratory. Taylor’s power law (1961) was used to determine spatial distribution type and statistics, and sequential sampling models were prepared using these statistics by Green (1970) method. Models were prepared for two species of Metopolophium dirhodum and Sitobion avenae in Lorestan, four species of Metopolophium dirhodum, Schizaphis graminum, Rhopalosiphum maidis and Diuraphis noxia in Isfahan, and five species of S. graminum, M. dirhodum, R. maidis, S. avenae and R. padi in Kermanshah as aphid species of barley fields. Results showed that the distribution of aphids in barley fields of all studied areas was cumulative. Sequence sampling models at high accuracy level (0.1) were evaluated time consuming due to large sample size required, but the models prepared at the accuracy level of pest management (0.25) was recommended for monitoring aphids in barley fields.
