چکیده
Common sunn pest (CSP), Eurygaster integriceps Puton (Hem.: Scutelleridae) is the most important insect pest of cereals in Iran. Trissolcus grandis (Thomson) (Hymenoptera: Platygastridae) is the most prevalent egg parasitoid of CSP. Life history of the parasitic wasp was studied under three light intensities, (5331, 1412.5 and 706 Lux) at 26 ± 1 ˚C , 50±10% RH and 16:8 (L:D) photoperiod. Significant differences were observed in all stable population growth parameters except net reproductive rate (R0). Intrinsic rate of increase (rm) was estimated to be 0.354±0.002, 0.367±0.001 and 0.362±0.002 at high, medium and low Luxes. Net reproductive rate (R0) was 133.73±3.13, 141.1±3.11 and 130.83±2.97 and generation time (T) was 13.80±0.067, 13.452±0.065 and 13.433±0.089d in those treatments respectively. Total fecundity also showed significant differences among the luxes. Overall, light intensity had limited significant effects on some biostatistics of T. grandis. It seems that T. grandis have enough flexibility to develop, survive and reproduce wether in dim or bright areas.
