چکیده
Honey bee regarded as one of the most important insects on the planet for crop pollination and ‎honey production. The first step for this is: understanding the morphology of this economic ‎Hymenoptera. In this research, diversity of the forewing of Apis mellifera was studied by traditional ‎morphometric methods. Ninety samples including workers honey bee were randomly collected from ‎three regions of the Khouzestan province (Ramhormoz, Dezful and Shushtar) with different climate ‎and flore condition. Ten important characters including length, width, Length/width ratio of the ‎forewing, length of anal, A4, D7, G18, G7and K19 angles, and cubital index were measured. ‎Morphometric analysis software's including TPS, NTSYS and SPSS were used for angles and ‎distance measurement, cluster analysis and discriminant factor analysis. Cluster analysis showed that ‎three A. mellifera studied populations divided into two main groups based on studied characters. ‎The two populations collected from Dezful and Shush were placed in one group and Ramhormoz ‎was positioned in another cluster. As we revealed, six following characters in the forewing, i.e. ‎forewing's length, ratio of the Length/Width of forewing, A4, G18 and K19 angles, and length of ‎the anal had an important role in differentiation of the populations (p<0.01).‎
