چکیده
White peach scale, Pseudaulacaspis pentagona Targioni-Tozzetti (Hem.: Diaspididae) is one of the most important and destructive polyphagous pest of the Rosaceae family trees like peach, apricot, cherry, sour cherry, berry, tea and caused damages to kiwi fruit. In recent years, this pest was observed in northern regions of Iran, especially east of Mazandaran. According to the chemical control of pests that cause the loss of beneficial insects and pest resistance and increased environmental degradation, it is essential to find ways of safer pest control. One of the most important methods is use of natural enemies of pests and the first step in this method is identification of natural agents. In this study, we tried to collect and identify parasitoids of white peach scale in kiwi trees of east Mazandaran. In order to collect and identify parasitoids of P. pentagona, infested branches of kiwi fruit in orchards of east of Mazandaran were collected during the two year period 2015-16, and then cut branches were placed in a cardboard carton length 50 × 20 × 45 cm. Then all holes and openings covered, so no light does not penetrate into boxes and then 6 test tube was placed on the two sides of carton. The boxes were kept in normal conditions and on 10 days intervals, parasitoids inside the test tubes were collected and kept in 75% ethanol. Samples were identified by Dr. Polaszek, the Natural History Museum. Parasitoids were identified, including the following species:
Family: Aphelinidae
1- Encarsia (=Propspaltella) perniciosi (Tower, 1913)
2- Encarsia (=Propspaltella) berlesei (Howard, 1906)
3- Aphytis chrysomphali (Mercet, 1912)
4- Aphytis proclia (Walker, 1839)
5- Ablerus perspeciosus (Girault, 1916)
6- Azotus sp.
Family: Encyrtidae
7- Teleterebratus perversus (Compere & Zinna, 1955)
Among identified species, E. perniciosi and A. chrysomphali are reported on white peach scale for first time from Iran. Also, T. perversus, A. perspeciosus and Azotus sp. are reported on white peach scale for first time in the world. In addition genus Teleterebratus genus is reported for the first time from Iran. The samples have been deposited in Entomology laboratory of Shahed University.
