چکیده
There is increasing concern over the current rapid loss of biodiversity as a result of human pressure on species and environment being driven by various developmental activities. A research was performed to determine diversity, species richness and dominant species of Chlaenius as a predator of pest (especially, predator of cabbage butterfly larvae) in Taleqan region, Alborz Province during summer 2015 to autumn 2016. In this research, 5 localities including Glinak, Hassanjoon, Joestan, Shahrood and Naviz were selected. 269 specimens belonging to 3 subgenera and 6 species including: Chlaenius (Stenochlaenius) coeruleus (Steven, 1809), Chlaenius (Chlaeniellus) extensus Mannerheim, 1825, Chlaenius (Chlaenius) festivus Panzer, 1796, Chlaenius (Chlaeniellus) flavipes Menetries, 1832, Chlaenius (Chlaeniellus) nitidulus Schrank, 1781 and Chlaenius (Chlaeniellus) vestitus (Paykull, 1790) were collected. Sampling was carried out by a combination of methods including pitfall trap, hand collection and quadrates. Chlaenius (Chlaeniellus) flavipes Menetries, 1832, was found in five localities and during all months of sampling. It was known as dominant species with the relative frequency of 67.3%. Biodiversity indices were evaluated in different months and localities of sampling. The highest value of Shannon-weaver diversity (2.23), Pielou’s evenness (0.96) and Margalef species richness (1.49) indices, were obtained in June (different species of Chlaenius, mating in the late spring), with mean temperature of 22.3˚C. Among localities, Naviz had the most of individuals, species (6 species and 101 specimens) and biodiversity indices. Presumably, due to favorable conditions in Naviz such as dense trees, shady ground and high humidity of soil, this site showed the maximum of value of Shannon-weaver diversity (2.34), Pielou’s evenness (0.9) and Margalef species richness (1.63) indices.
